soft corner for terror?!

i am so fed up by our country's stand on terrorism!! get a threat an we step up the security or face a massacre-level event from the responsible terrorist organizations and we not only beef up security but also start the blame game. how the hell does it matter which brach of which oranization was the culprit?? also with the lack of action it is but apparent that most of our ploitical leaders are left with no consience for the people.. all they care about is whether or not they stay in power!! where the hell are we gonna get like this? we need to take a tronger stand. we need to send a clear message to Pakistan: one more toe out of the line and your capital and places we know are terrorist hubs are gonna be blown up. no exceptions. call it bloddy or violent or excessive but we really need to take some lessons from the usa and isreal on how to handle terrorism. its pretty simple: bomb them and screw the worlds' opinion.
also its high time the govt realised that we cant just keeping upgrading security when the need arises cause the war against terror is going to last for long years. we need to not only beef up the sec but keep it that way permanently. we need to make laws that make it easy to arrest all those suspected of terrorist activities. we need to completely integrate inida: as in equal laws for all indians of all states and religion. we cant treat J&K like a seperate unit. we need to make the laws governing it same for all indians not something like i have to be a kashimri to buy property there.
so basically higher ecurity levels all the time. attack pakistan and not as crude;y as i put it but something to that effect. im not saying go to war but ya if they attack so should we

Manoj

y the hell do i post on this guy? who is he? many know, many don't. those who know wish they wouldn't , those who don't ,.... even they wish they shouldn't.
so y do i write?

coz its gud to know.

Manoj Arora, a great physicist. Be it coefficient of viscosity, or binomial expansion, or even pressure gradient, this genius knows it all. His knowledghe quotient ranges from the theory of the very small to the same of the very large.

so y is he special?

Incidentally, he happens to have the great distinction of being our class teacher. A professor at MIT would have been a better job for him. Stroke of luck left him here in our skool.

y?

He got involved with the inception of the subject Comp. with Eco in the skool and trying to propogate that ignored the letter from MIT asking for his permission to teach at MIT.

he failed in this daunting task.

then he had no choice except pursue his career as a teacher. So with all new vigour he started his illustrious career of the Physics.

His specialized areas-

1. Rotational Mechanics.
2. Assignment Booklet.
3. White Board.

His academic achievements:-

1. He was awarded the first prize for the best binomial expansion for the year 2003-04.
2. This award was taken back in 2004.
3. Claimed the Pulitzer Prize for Physics in 2004.

For further details...

barge into xi-k in his classes. he will ask a note, and before you go back to get it, he will call you back and ask you where were you, and then again tells you to get the note written. and finally when you get the note written, he will tell you that you forged the sign and order you to tell the teacher to cut 3 marks from your paper when you get it.

picture will be posted as soon as i get it.

new and crazy sections

new sections have been allotted
our futures are being plotted

everyones falling into depression
cause of the phsycological opression

friends have been scatteres
and our togetherness shattered

for section change people tried
upon failing some even cried

being stuck with freaks for 2 years
would drive anyone into tears

my stream and subjects i definitely like
but my class ppl i just wanna strike

this school is going mad
prescribing our furute on a paper wad

why cant we choose the ppl we wanna be with
instead of going thru this shit

bad company spreads like infectious pus
being with our firend wud just encourage us

on top our reps r freaky
not to mention sneaky

feeling like leaving this school
an joining a placw where students rule

this process is making me crazy
my minds going hazy

i just hope the new ppl are nice
cause my class is full of lice

crazy cut-offs

the cut offs are sky rocketing

the trends these figures are setting

90%- nowhere-damn thats bad
enough to make the students sad
these reservations will make us mad
but maybe thats what makes the government glad

the message is pretty clear
the country doesnt want us here
the stress is too much to bear
well i guess my college aint gonna be anyplace near

trying to stop brain drain?
puh-leese its all in vain
unless the system goes there ll be no gain
cause all u r giving us is more pain

with votes ull surely pay
cause we're gonna have our say
brushing it aside wont make it go away
this government shall not stay

okay ppl--tell me how it is!

Class X results out!

CONGRATS TO ALL WHO SCORED BRILLIANTLY IN THE BOARDS!

Most of us scored above 90% which is totally AWESOME! BUT before you start feeling all happy happy again --- Are we nearing the end of an era? A generation where 90% no longer has the same value as it did a few years back? Stats show that as many as 21,002 students(~10.49% of the total students in India) got above 90! Out of these 4,283 are from Delhi! Now we aren't the only 90 percenters. In fact as many as 1,677 students have got above 95%!!!!!!
Has 95% become the next line--- the line which distinguishes between the extra-ordinary and the rest.... or is it still 90%??

Comment Away!

Diary of a Non-Obc Man

Ahmedabad, 30 April 2056: I attended the bash at the IIM-OBC AlumniAssociation to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of the reservationof seats for OBCs (Other Backward Castes) in IIMs. Since I'm not an
OBC, I was not supposed to attend, but at present, we MBFCs(Moderately Backward Forward Castes) together with the Non-ScheduledTribes have a political alliance with the OBCs. We sipped champagneand talked about how so many of us had progressed from reserved seats
in the IIMs to reserved jobs to reserved promotions. Unfortunately, the party broke up when a Non-scheduled Tribes faculty member objectedto the OBCs dancing with all the pretty girls — he wanted equalopportunities for every caste at each dance. I pointed out that the
Non-scheduled Tribes had exceeded the quota of champagne reserved forthem. The party ended in a pitched caste battle.1) May 2056: Today, I became president of the IIM Board of Directors.Under the present rotating presidency system, a member of each caste
is made the president by turn. When it was the turn of the MBFCs forpresident, they had to choose me because I'm the only MBFC on thecampus. True, I'm only the campus dhobi, but then every caste must begiven an equal opportunity. All those centuries of oppression by the
OSBFCs (Only Slightly Backward Forward Castes) and the OFCs (OtherForward Castes) must be rectified. I hope to restore the highstandards at IIM — I overheard some foreigners calling it the IndianInstitute of Morons, the other day.
2) May 2056: They've announced the cricket team for the series againstAustralia . I was overjoyed when they chose an MBFC man as captain. But my hopes were dashed when I realised he was a Most Backward
Forward Caste and not a Moderately Backward Forward Caste. The
selection committee lamented that it was gross discrimination that nomember from the Jarowa tribe (the Stone Age tribe in theAndamans) had ever found a place in the Indian cricket team. A squadhas since been dispatched to the Andamans to capture a Jarowa tribal
to play in the national team. I hope he will improve their performance— they had an innings defeat against the Maldives recently. I wouldhave played myself except for the fact that I lost a leg some years
ago when I was in hospital with a toothache and a doctor recruited
through the Unscheduled Caste quota extracted my leg instead of mytooth.3) May 2056: There are too many NFCs (Neo-Forward castes) in the ITbusiness. Under the terms of the Business Reservation Act, their firms
will now be taken over by the other castes. I hope they will be ableto restore the Indian IT industry back to its former glory. For someunfathomable reason, it has gone down the drain after job reservations

were implemented. I went for a movie featuring star actor Mungeri Ram.He may lack teeth, be four-feet-three and have hair growing out of hisnose, but this year it's the turn of the EBC-RYs (Extremely Backward
Caste-Rural Yokels) to be stars and Mungeri Ram is the best of the
lot. I wonder why foreign movies have become so popular.4) May 2056: A truly great day. We now have an OFBMBC (Other ForwardBut Moderately Backward Caste) general as the Head of the ArmedForces. I hope he'll be able to win back the territory we lost ever
since reservations were implemented in the Army. Since then, the northhas been taken by Pakistan , the North-east by China , the east byBangladesh and the south by Sri Lanka and the Maldives . Only lastwinter, we lost the war against Bhutan and free India is now limited
to the western coastal states. But I'm sure the OFBMBC general willturn the tide.5) May 2056: My wife and I have been blessed with a bonny daughter.Since my wife's an SBBNSBC (Slightly Backward But Not So Backward
Caste), my daughter will be an MBFC-SBBNSBC. I must lobby forreservation for her caste. She's the only member and I'm sure she has a great future.

RESERVATIONS - - - I AM FOR IT !

I think we should have job reservations in all the fields. I completely support the PM and all the politicians for promoting this. Let's start the reservation with our cricket team. We should have
10 percent reservation for muslims backward. 30 percent for OBC, SC/ST like that. Cricket rules should be modified accordingly. The boundary circle should be reduced for an SC/ST player. The four hit by an OBC player should be considered as a six and a six hit by a OBC player should be counted as 8 runs. An OBC player scoring 60 runs should be declared as a century. We should influence ICC and make rules so that the pace bowlers like Shoaib Akhtar should not bowl fast balls to our OBC player. Bowlers should bowl maximum speed of 80 kilometer per hour to an OBC player. Any delivery above this speed should be made illegal.

Also we should have reservation in Olympics. In the 100 meters race, an OBC player should be given a gold medal if he runs 80 meters. There can be reservation in Government jobs also. Let's recruit SC/ST and OBC pilots for aircrafts which are carrying the ministers and
politicians (that can really help the country.. )

Ensure that only SC/ST and OBC doctors do the operations for the ministers and other politicians. (Another way of saving the country..) Let's be creative and think of ways and means to guide INDIA forward... Lets show the world that INDIA is a GREAT country. Let's be proud of being an INDIAN..

May the good breed of politicians like ARJUN SINGH long live...
So, what do you think, huh???

Rang De Basanti!

Rang De Basanti is perhaps the latest "in" thing...because of what?? it's music...the acting ...the story...the direction or what?many of the people have stepped out of the halls with swollen eyes.they talk about the movie a day or two...appreciate the message conveyed...but what after that??i too really appreciate the rally conducted to mark the death of democracy...to mourn Jessica's death (damn..i also wanted to take part if it wasn't for my stupid boards!)if ever we talk to our parents about our present system (of governance)...a perpetual reply comes..."humare desh kaa kuch nahi ho sakta " so everytime my feelins were suppressed...thinking perhaps i'm acting to immature...after watching the movie, i thought that maybe people do realize that something can be done.now what my mum says is "dekh liyaa naa unka kya hoa...mar gayee" but i say...what about the fear they must have created in the minds of those hundreds corrupt leaders? what about their great contribution in waking the people of their country...vo maree nahin ...vo kurban hoe hain!according to me ...we are nothing better off than what we were 100 years back. (we refers to not just you and me...but the entire population). yes, industrialization, privatisation, liberalisation and developments of all sorts have taken place...but what about the vast multitudes of people who still live in vilages...this number probably matches the population of our country prior to independence.so, i ask, what is the difference, the same number of people still remain downtrodden without basic necessaties of food n clothing...according to me, there are a few major problems which have led to such a situation,(1) over population(2) illiteracy(3) corruption(4) politics(5) lack of awareness(6) an attitude of indifferenceand i feel all of them are interrelated lets begin, politicians are corrupt and selfish and want to create communal vote banks in their favour. due to this, the cannot adopt a "2-child policy"-this would raise a hue n cry among the muslim population-and then ofcourse ..who would vote for them.this leads to overpopulation.due to this ever growing population (just like the ever growing municipality sewage)...the people can not educate their children. coz ofcourse...who would like to educate their children when there are 10-15 mouths to feed and a minimal source of income.why illiteracy? coz of peoples indifference towards it...lack of awareness of what all benefits being literate can bestow upon them.there mayb 20% people who do not want to work...ie in any social/economic group there mayb 20% people who suffer due to their own faults...but what about the other 80%?????????????i know we are too young to understand the gravity of all these things...and people may just say that its easier said than done.... i agree it isn't so easy...but does that mean we don't do anything about it?many of us would be finding maths or sst or smth elase very difficult...but does that mean we don't study it..or does that mean that we put in all the more effort in to it...through all this i do not want to say that we can cimply form a group and go and kill someone...neither can we at this stage enter into politics and sacrifice our other goals for life...but there are so many sections of society whom we can help even at this age..the aged, the disabled, the poor...can we not spare a visit to an old age home or an orphanage once in 2 months?? or are we too busy? can we not go to some small village each in small groups (nearby delhi)to crate awareness about not giving birth to too many children and instead givin proper education to the 1-2 born. is this impossible?? i dont think so...and if you think we can not do anything at all because it's very dificult to change the system...then here's what i have to say..."koi country perfect nahi hoti...humen banaani hoti hai...hum kyon kuch nahi kar sakte...military , police mein bharti ho...IAS yaa IPS join karo aur vahaan se system ko badlo" i know it was a llllloooooonnnnnggggg post...but this is a topic very close to my heart...please do post in wuteva you feel about it...anyone who strongly feels for it please tell me...coz i am definitely going to do something about it in the coming session.criticism invited!
